This peach princess doesn’t need to be saved. In fact, she’ll probably be the one to save you! I’ve been quite impressed by the characters that Vanillaware have chosen to make figures. All of them match the illustrations and brings depth to their 2Disms. Momohime release date will be in July and will cost around 7,800円 which is roughly around $80USD or so. Maybe this might be my summer purchase? But with all the BRS stuff coming out, I’m not sure if I’ll have room for it! You can pre-order here on HobbySearch.
Holy crap! I didn’t know this was going to be for sale to the mass public. It was previewed at the last Wonder Festival this summer. I was sad that I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of it since it had so much detail. Bless the man who invented the shrink ray.
Manufacturer Gelpus, has created amazing detail to the Cagliostros replication to a minute scale. The set even has the interior sculpted and vehicles to come with. From a first hand experience, the castle is pretty big last time I saw it.
Hobby Search has it up for pre-order and will run you about 355USD$. If you don’t have the money, be like Lupin and steal the damn thing!
Whoa! Preorder is finally up for Nagimiso’s Miku collaboration with Max Factory. This item first appeared at last summers Wonder Festival at the Goodsmile booth. Preorder is up at Hobby Search and will run you about 127USD$. I’m really considering to buy this but with my upcoming trip to Japan. I might have to hold off for a bit.
Great! Now I have to sink more money to my Revoltech addiction. Tokyo Hunter made a trip to the Revoltech Expo this past weekend and snap a load of pictures to titillate you upcoming years fancy of Revoltech line. I just posted the ones that I’m drooling over like the Alien, Jack Skellington and the T-Rex from Jurassic Park. Allow me to go grab some paper towels to wipe my desk while you take a look at these pictures!
Oh I forgot to mention, they’re also releasing fully transformable Valkyries.
I know I’m late on the update but GSC recently announced the pre-order for Hayakawa Yuzuko from the manga, Yuzuko Peppermint. The figure comes with a drama CD and pamphlet set, which probably are some illustrations from the manga or of the character. I’ve haven’t heard of the manga before but it does interest me and I’m willing to give it a go. What I think is the main attraction of this figure is the giant ball/bomb and chain Yuzuko is wrapped in. The detail of the links must of been a pain in the butt to sculpt! Yuzuko will be available in March 2010 and will cost 8,867円. Pre-orders now on HobbySearch and Toylet.
No, I don’t have it yet!! But I got to physically touch it! Last weekend I was lucky enough to hang out with Aki-san, president of Good Smile Company for the afternoon. We went to the local toy market Frank & Sons and afterward he granted me to privilege to see B★RS herself! The sculpting is truly amazing and well worth the full price if you’ve pre-ordered it. The attention to detail is just amazing. I had to stop myself from getting my drool on figure.
The figure I photographed is suppose to be the production model. So what you see is what you’re going to get.
The paint job on the jacket is my favorite part of the figure.
For the pettanko and underboobage fans.
Just out of the box! Don’t worry, that’s not the box it’ll be coming in….I hope.
After my impromptu photo session, Aki-san blessed me again to see the B★RS 90 second pilot DVD. Below is the video of what I saw.
Here’s some interesting facts I learned from the video.
That’s it for now. I also got some small goods from Aki-san that I’ll post later on! ^^
It’s good to have friends in Japan! I was lucky enough to have a friend procure the pre-order at 7-11 and here it is! It’s a well done deco and I enjoy all of the Transformer Mickey’s that have came out so far. Especially this one since my favorite color combination is black and orange.
Mickey transform and roll out!
I’ve always be a fan of the Grimrock version of the Asuka and Rei sporting the cat ears but this takes the punch! Check out this color kit of Ayanami Rei ver. nekomimi. The sculpt is well done and what’s even better is that most of the parts are already casted in color, limiting the amount of time you need to paint it. Tokyo Hunter currently is taking orders for proxy and you can get it by contacting him. Here’s the rest of the information if you want this kit:

Another figure release from the Hyakka Ryoran. This time it’s the reiteration of Niθ Hattori Hanzo from the series. Hattori Hanzo will be released January 2010 and will cost you about 8,360円. You can pre-order over at Hobby Search. Alter has being doing a great job with the figures and looking forward to my Yagyu Jubei hopefully coming sometime in the fall!
Who doesn’t love pirates!? New figures from the Portrait of Pirate series have been released for pre-order for Luffy and Chopper Strong Edition. The designs are taken from the upcoming movie Strong World set for release this December 2009. The movie was written and overseen by Eiichiro Oda-sensei himself! I like the Luffy design because he looks like a mix between Shanks and some of the gangster omake illustrations Oda-sensei does for the manga. Luffy and Chopper will be released at the same time with the movie. Luffy will be around 5,985円 and Chopper will go for 2,100円. Pre-orders are being taken from Hobbysearch at the moment.
And here’s the trailer to the new movie. Doesn’t really show anything though…
